The reasons why work causes us stress are varied, of course: Some of us have too much to do. Some of us are worried about the future of our workplaces. And all that stress can make us act out, at home and at work—snapping at co-workers, feeling anxious or fatigued to name just a few symptoms.

But work doesn’t have to be the guide for everything and anything we feel. There are steps each and every one of us can take to diffuse situations and to regain control of our emotions.
